The Aksaray University Family Studies Application and Research Center is launching the “Being a Woman in the Family Circle” project, a high-quality example of a university-public-NGO collaboration model focused on social benefit. Prepared in collaboration with the Aksaray Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, Aksaray Municipality, and the Ankara Psychodrama Association, the project provides a scientific perspective on the psychosocial well-being of women. The project is a comprehensive intervention program aimed at helping women explore their social support networks by focusing on their family relationships through psychodrama, a psychotherapy method.
The project plans to conduct two separate psychodrama groups. The first group will focus on women's family relationships and potential social support networks; the second group will focus on parenting roles and positive parenting.
The project aims to help women re-experience their life stories, roles, and social relationships in a safe group environment through psychodrama, an action and group interaction-focused psychotherapy method. (Research Assistant Dr.) A psychodrama group, led by Hatice Öztürk and assisted by Expert Social Worker Nevin Güneş, will be held once a week for three hours each session over four months.
Applications begin on March 23rd.
The psychodrama group, open to women, will be held at the Aksaray Municipality Women's Activity Center. Registration is now open for those wishing to participate.
